The Sales Engineer reports to the VP of Sales and works in support to the Nolij sales team. The Nolij sales team is made up of Regional Account Managers (RAMs) that are responsible for generating new sales and for managing current Nolij customer relationships within their respective territories. The Sales Engineer will work with and support the RAMs when engaging prospects in both RFP -and non- RFP driven sales opportunities. The SE will also collaborate with the RAMs when upsell and cross-sell opportunities are identified within the current Nolij customer base.
Job Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
Accompany salespeople on scoping calls to help determine the optimal Nolij solution based on the client’s unique needs and processes.
Prepare technical pre-sales documentation to aid sales effort which may include presentations, technical workflow diagrams, RFP, RFI, SOW etc.
Develop custom demos for presentation based on the client’s needs.
Communicate technical aspects of product and service offerings to the prospects.
Articulate software features and value of Nolij solution offerings to audiences ranging from CTOs and IT professionals to functional users in a variety of different roles.
Differentiate Nolij solutions from competitive offerings.
Lead product demos and related technical discussions for prospects.
Act as the primary technical resource on sales calls addressing technical questions.
Work with the software development group to drive enhancement requests for current/future demos.
Maintain knowledge of technology trends in the higher education market.
Collaborate with the marketing group to present at Webinars.

Required Technical Qualifications
Enterprise IT infrastructure/application knowledge
Working knowledge of higher education SIS/ERP solutions (e.g. Banner, PeopleSoft) is desired
Strong working knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Windows, Mac)
Strong working knowledge of database systems (e.g. Oracle, MySQL)
Strong working knowledge of SQL
Ability to create and/or modify database stored procedures and functions is desired
Ability to create and/or modify HTML pages
Office Location: Beverly, MA ( no telecommute or remote employees, relocation services not offered for this position)
