The Nolij Technical Support Engineer (TSE) is a position primarily responsible for providing direct Nolij product support to our customer base. This is an entry level customer facing technical position, requiring a service focused self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment. The Nolij TSE will provide accurate and timely functional and technical support directly to Nolij customers for Nolij software products. The TSE is independently resourceful by routinely interacting with other Nolij teams to investigate and resolve client issues, answer client questions regarding system functionality and effectively managing ongoing client communications including responding to special requests and maintaining accurate log trouble reports.
Work Experience Requirements:
Experience in a customer facing role providing support, consulting or IT services
Experience working with multiple databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Informix, Unidata, or DB2)
Ability to construct basic to complex(sub-queries, joins) SQL queries
Demonstrated skill in writing stored procedures/functions(using PL/SQL and T-SQL)
Experience in taking source data(xml or delimited file, RDBMS) and inserting that data into a destination RDBMS
Good understanding of Oracle instances and SQL server databases and related tools to administer
Experience installing, configuring and supporting multi-tier software applications
Strong analytical and communications skills
Strong desire to learn new skills and grow professionally
Desired Qualifications
Experience with imaging & document management technologies
Experience working with multiple desktop (Windows 2000, XP, Macintosh OS X) and server (Windows Server, Linux, Solaris) environments
Experience with issues that arise in enterprise integrations (e.g. security, authentication) and the attendant hardware and software (e.g. firewalls, load balancers, private/public networks)
Experience working within higher education on SunGard Banner, PeopleSoft Student Administration, Datatel, Jenzabar or similar technology
Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA)
