Engage 2010: Bigger and Better!!

The survey says: Engage 2010 was an overwhelming success! 97% of surveyed attendees gave this year’s user conference rave reviews. It is clear that the Hilton Boston was a popular choice and the food, once again, was a hit! The Planning Committee spiced things up considerably with the new venue, the lovely and delicious dinner cruise aboard the Odyssey, and the launch of the inaugural user groups.

John Collins’ opening address set the innovative tone for the conference with the unveiling of Nolij Web for the Apple iPad and numerous other product announcements. Joe Head, Dean, Emeritus, for University Admissions and Enrollment Services at Kennesaw State University, graciously accepted the 2010 Nolij Founders’ Award. This award recognizes his outstanding partnership with Nolij of more than a decade and his unwavering quest for technological excellence in student service.
The consensus selected peer networking and the availability of the friendly Nolij staff as the overwhelming favorite features of this year’s conference, outside of the food, of course! You know it’s a great party when your guests linger beyond closing time as we all did after both evening festivities. It was a tossup between the chocolate fountain during our Little Italy banquet or the all-you-could-eat lobster aboard the Odyssey for best in taste!

Nolij would like to send a special thank you and call out to our customer presenters who helped make Engage 2010 a memorable and rewarding inaugural user conference:

Ignacio Barragan, San Diego State University Research Foundation
Eric Benevides, University of Rhode Island
Susan Blake, Kennesaw State University
Suzanne Daughtridge, University of North Carolina – Wilmington
Melba Fey, University of Akron
Sean Fife, Pepperdine University
David Johnson, University of Iowa
Cheryl Matson, Kennesaw State University

And last but not least, Joe Head, for his engaging recreational presentation on The Great Locomotive Dispute.

As with last year, the comments from attendees have been rewarding:

“I just want to say thanks to the NOLIJ Corporation as a whole. It is really great to come away from a users group so energized and enthusiastic about a project. A great big thanks to you and all your coworkers for guiding me down the NOLIJ path”.
Gary Miller, Systems Integrator, Bucknell University

“Thank you! We had a great time in Boston…you guys sure know how to hold a conference!” Brian Stanley, Controller, Macon State College
