Beverly, Massachusetts (20 Jun 2010) – Nolij Corporation, the leading provider of higher education focused software solutions, concluded their second annual user conference in Boston, MA June 16 -18 and the attendees, once again, overwhelmingly voted Engage a success. Fifty one percent of last year’s attendees filled this year’s roster for a total attendance that almost doubled 2009.
The Hilton Boston was a popular choice and the food, once again, was a hit! The Planning Committee spiced things up considerably with the new venue, the lovely and delicious dinner cruise aboard the Odyssey, and the launch of the inaugural user groups. Not to mention the scavenger hunt, with several Apple iPod Video Nano prizes, and the Meet n’ Greet cocktail receptions.
John Collins’ opening address set the innovative tone for the conference with the unveiling of Nolij Web for the Apple iPad and numerous other product announcements. Joe Head, Dean, Emeritus, for University Admissions and Enrollment Services at Kennesaw State University, graciously accepted the 2010 Nolij Founders’ Award. This award recognizes his outstanding partnership with Nolij of more than a decade and his unwavering quest for technological excellence in student service.
The consensus picked peer networking and the availability of the friendly Nolij staff as the overwhelming favorite features of this year’s conference, outside of the food, of course! It’s a great party when the guests linger beyond closing time as all did after both evening festivities. It was a tossup between the chocolate fountain during the Little Italy banquet or the all-you –could- eat lobster aboard the Odyssey for best in taste!
