Beverly, Massachusetts (21 May 2008) – Nolij Corporation today announced the hiring of Maureen McCarthy Mello to the position of Director of Marketing effective immediately. Nolij's Director of Marketing position is responsible for the advancement of Nolij within the higher education community to which they are dedicated.
Nolij Corporation is excited to welcome Maureen to the Nolij family. Maureen is a 27 year veteran of the sales and marketing professions. She dedicated 21 years to Academic Management Services, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Sallie Mae and then the leading provider of integrated solutions for paying for education. During her AMS career, she served in various sales & marketing management capacities, caping her tenure as Senior Vice President for Marketing and Corporate Communications.
Using her vast knowledge of the education financing and enrollment management industry, she has interviewed for finance and education articles with The New York Times, USA Today, US News and World Reports, Newsweek and many other national media outlets. Maureen and her AMS Marketing team were honored by the Publicity Club of New England with the Bell Ringer Award for an outstanding PR campaign and by the American Marketing Association with their Amethyst Award for innovative sales collateral.
Her legacy was the building of the most successful education payment plan in the industry. From there, she built her own counseling company and went on to run two highly regarded advertising agencies. She is now fortunate to return to higher eduction and devote her marketing talents to promoting the value added services of the premier document imaging and workflow company in higher education.
