Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Adds Nolij Transfer to its Suite of Nolij Enterprise Imaging Solutions
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Expands its Use of Nolij Technology With the Addition of Nolij Transfer
Beverly, Massachusetts (08 May 2009) –
Nolij Corporation, a leading provider of higher education focused software solutions, announced today that Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) has selected Nolij Transfer to complete its adoption of the entire Nolij enterprise document imaging, workflow, and data loading technology. Nolij Transfer was chosen by PCOM to integrate its online application data with its existing SunGard Higher Education Banner student information system.
By choosing the Nolij Transfer solution - the data integration of choice for hundreds of colleges and universities – PCOM will automate the matching, review, and upload of AACOMAS application data into its SIS.
A conversion to a “paperless” admissions process at PCOM started as a result of the decision made by AACOM (American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine) to stop sending paper applications to the colleges of osteopathic medicine beginning in 2009. There were two meetings held during the summer of 2008 at PCOM to discuss the issues and concerns regarding this change. Select individuals from information services, the faculty, and members of the PCOM admissions team participated in the discussions. This decision necessitated a need to acquire technology that would integrate the electronic application along with supporting documentation with their SunGard Higher Education Banner student information system. PCOM chose the entire suite of Nolij technology as the optimal document management solution to meet this need.
