Nolij Partnered Solution Providers in Higher Education: Common Application
Common Application, Inc.
Nolij Corporation has formed a partnership with the Common
Application, Inc. to become the preferred data import
solution provider to its member institutions. The Common
Application is a not-for-profit organization that serves
students and member institutions by providing an admission
application - online and in print - that students may submit
to any of its nearly 300 members. "The Common Application's
300 member colleges and universities use every version of
every admission database out there, and that's why Nolij
Transfer was such an obvious choice. Regardless of the system
-- even if it's "homegrown" -- Nolij Transfer
has proven effective time after time for our members",
said Rob Killion, Executive Director, of the Common
Application.
Using Nolij's Web-based data upload and integration solution,
members of the Common
Application will now be able to automate the data loading
process of the Common
Application data files into their SIS. Colleges and
universities will not only automate the data loading process
but also vastly improve the quality of the data. "Nolij
is very excited at the opportunity to work with such an
esteemed organization as the Common Application and its
college and university members", said John Collins,
President of Nolij Corporation.
The Common
Application is a not-for-profit organization that serves
students and member institutions by providing an admission
application - online and in print - that students may submit
to any of our nearly 300 members. Membership is limited
to colleges and universities that evaluate students using
a holistic selection process. Since our founding over
30 years ago, we have been committed to maintaining a reliable
service while promoting equity, access, and integrity in
the college application process.
The Common
Application is a consortium of selective four-year schools
in the United States, which provides a single application
that can be used to apply to any of the member schools.
Many schools use the Common
Application exclusively, and those who use it along
side their own application give the Common
Application equal weight. Many in the education
industry see consortium applications as the wave of the
future, and the Common
Application is the oldest and best recognized of this
new breed.
