Nolij Partnered Solution Providers in Higher Education: Law School Admission Council
Law School Admission Council, Inc.
The Law School Admission Council (LSAC)
and Nolij Corporation have formalized an agreement to leverage
Nolij's Nolij Transfer data upload and integration solution
for LSAC's
member institutions. Using Nolij Transfer to upload LSAC's
Admit-M, LSAT, LSDAS and other data files enables law schools
to automate the upload process as well as vastly improve
the quality and accuracy of the data. "LSAC is a very
important relationship to Nolij Corporation since it was
the first partner to select Nolij Transfer as its recommended
solution", said John Collins, President of Nolij Corporation.
The Law School Admission Council (LSAC)
is a nonprofit corporation whose members are 201 law schools
in the United States and Canada. It was founded in 1947
to coordinate, facilitate, and enhance the law school admission
process. The organization also provides programs and
services related to legal education. All law schools
approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) are LSAC
members. Canadian law schools recognized by a provincial
or territorial law society or government agency are also
included in the voting membership of the Council.
The services provided by LSAC
include: The Law School Admission Test (LSAT); the Law School
Data Assembly Service (LSDAS); the Candidate Referral Service
(CRS); software including Admit-M admission office software
and electronic law school applications on the web and CD-ROM,
and various publications and LSAT preparation tools. The
LSAT, the LSDAS, and CRS are provided to assist law schools
in serving and evaluating applicants. LSAC
does not engage in assessing an applicant's chances for
admission to any law school; all admission decisions are
made by individual law schools.
